I press the shortcut and nothing happens

Run down this list, top to bottom:

  1. Click the soink icon in the menu bar. Is soink is Active checked?
  2. Are you signed in? Open the dashboard and check.
  3. Is the microphone allowed? Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and make sure soinkInput is on.
  4. soink needs internet. If you’re offline or on a flaky connection, words can’t stream.
